The Girl with the Colored Nails

I looked at her. Yes she is the girl. I silently confirmed with my memories.
The corner table, right beside the big glass window.
She was reading a book. It had a yellow cover with her pretty fingers wrapped around.
Her sapphire blue colored nails looked fascinatingly elegant.
She turned her eyes away from the book and stared straight into my eyes.
As if she knew my intention.
I wanted to turn away and run out of this coffee shop instantly.
But I stood still. It's now or never, I told myself.
Her eyes were fixed on me. Then she reached out for my hand.
My heartbeats sounded like heavy footsteps in a lonely corridor.
My legs felt so weak that I wanted to fall down on my knees and tell her everything.

Excuse me? She pulled her eyebrows down and closer.
"It's been long I've asked for the menu."
I jerked back to reality. Aware of the humming noise of the coffee shop around me. Aware of my job at the place.
"Yes ma'am. Today we have a special breakfast offer for you."

Sanity prevails but mockery will continue when your crush comes to the coffee shop you work in.

Things Every Man Should Have

During the holiday shopping season, some online retailers have made large lists of things “every man should own.” I liked the idea and thought I can make something similar too. When I discussed this with a friend while having a beer, he asked me to go for it. A year from now, it will be February of 2015. How many of the following must-haves will you be enjoying then?

This list is subjective.

1. A pen and notebook. To write the life lessons daily.
2. A library card or an eBook reader. Read, read as much as you can.
3. A coffee mug, even if you drink tea from it.
4. Soap and shampoo. Hygiene is important.
5. A hobby. Whichever you like, unless it involves hurting others.
6. A job. So that you can take care of you and your family.
7. A brain. Your heart must dominate it. Not the opposite.

Free Things Every Man Can Enjoy

In addition to these, I've listed a few things you can do that won't cost you anything.

1. Meditate. You don't need to join a yoga class or buy a cushion for this.
2. Learn to stand on your feet. I'm talking about self sufficiency.
3. Read to write and write to read.
4. Learn to cook. Simple food, limited amount.
5. Exercise or involve yourself in an outdoor sport.
6. You must create.
7. Be happy with what you have. Don't let me start on how many children starve to death daily.
8. Learn something new. Often.

The Wizard As a Professional

As a content writer, my job gives me a sense of purpose.
Writing on different topics within a certain time limit has regulated my directionless, indisciplined, wanton, and wayward life. My colleagues are more than colleagues. My seniors are not just my seniors. They have become an integral part of my life. My job has infused a melancholic rhythm, that with its consistent humming does not make life dragging a bore, but rather happy and serene. Just like a peaceful chant...
